Wedding Favors of Candy at Cheap Prices

Expert AuthorCheap candy wedding favors are a way to stay within your reception budget and still give guests a token of appreciation for sharing your special day. The trick in using cheap candy wedding favors is to keep them from looking cheap. In other words, you don’t want to simply purchase the cheapest chocolate bars you find and use them with no wrapper or note.

Cheap candy wedding favors should still show thoughtfulness. Guests should still feel that you took time to thank them appropriately.

Cheap Candy Wedding Favor Ideas

Here are a few ideas for suitable, cheap candy wedding favors.

1. Tulle Bags: Order empty tulle bags for your wedding favors. We found them at an online party supply store for $0.37 each. Approximately 4″ x 3″, the bags include a 30″ satin drawstring ribbon. Choose your wedding colors, and fill the bags with wholesale bulk mints or other candies - also available online.

2. Wedding Tins: Both wedding favor and party sites offer personalized wedding tins with mints. Some are expensive, but we found them for under $1 each - complete with candy. No work!

3. Tin Pails: Order empty miniature tin pails and fill with wholesale bulk candy. Tie bows on the handles for cheap candy wedding favors.

4. Promotional: Visit promotional sites for cheap candy wedding favors by other names. We found chocolates wrapped in foil at one site. You can have “thank you” or your name imprinted on the foil, and the chocolates still cost only $0.30 each. Give each guest 3 chocolates for cheap candy wedding favors.

5. Kisses: What better cheap candy wedding favors could there be than simple kisses - made of chocolate. Order from a bulk foods website, and you will pay less than 9 cents per kiss. Kisses come wrapped in pastel foils, good for any wedding. Or choose holiday kisses, autumn kisses, etc. Place a few kisses at each place setting, along with a small card imprinted with a note of thanks and your names. No container needed for these wedding favors.

6. Bit O Honey: This is another cute idea for cheap candy wedding favors. Each piece of old-time honey taffy is individually wrapped in a red and gold wrapper with twisted gold ends. Across the wrapper appear the words “Bit O Honey” - an amusing comment on the wedding. At a bulk foods site, you can purchase these at 3 or 4 cents each. Like the kisses, these wedding favors can be placed on tables with nothing more than a note card.

7. Bulk Chocolate Bars: Chocolate bars with personalized wrappers are a common wedding favor. They might not qualify as cheap candy wedding favors, however, unless you add your own creativity. Find a candy warehouse and order as many chocolate bars as you need. Use your own computer and printer to create wrappers. Enlist friends and family in cutting, wrapping, and fastening with a spot of glue.

Cheap candy wedding favors are readily available with a little thought and planning.
