If your budget calls for you to stay under $1 for wedding favors, your choices at conventional stores are limited. Internet wedding favor stores are not much better. A few have under $1 wedding favors, but why limit yourself? With imagination, your under $1 wedding favors can be unique, fun – even beautiful.

After you’ve seen the wedding favors at conventional places, visit an Internet site that has novelty items. Keep an open mind, and visualize possibilities. Here are a few ideas we found in a brief search.

1. Petite, two-tone tambourines for only $7.75 per dozen. That means $0.65 per guest. These are 5.5 inches in size, with white tops and pastel sides. Instead of ringing expensive little wedding bells to get the bridal couple to kiss, these wedding favors jingle for a kiss! Spend a few more pennies for a length of ribbon to loop through a hole in each tambourine, and guests can hang them around their necks.

2. Flip-flop drink coasters would be cute, colorful wedding favors at a seaside wedding. We found them in packages of 6 for $3, making them $0.50 per guest. Add a tag on the bottom with bridal couple’s names and date.

3. Plastic leis help you stay under $1 for wedding favors. Give 2 leis to each guest. Make one white, and the other a color from your wedding color scheme. We found 34 inch leis as low as $2.50 per dozen – about $0.21 per lei. Two per guest is $0.42 each. You still can add a bow to each wedding favor and remain under $1.

4. Bubbles are a wedding favor choice for many brides. You can find these on websites that specialize in wedding favors. We saw a plain, pearl white bottle of bubble liquid priced at $3.95 for 24 bottles. That is only $0.16 per guest. Add a pretty ribbon and a tag – or combine your bubble liquid with a wedding favor from above. You will still come in under $1 on wedding favors.

5. Key chains are popular wedding favors, and you can find a variety at less than $1 each. We found flip-flop key chains and tropical fish key chains that would be good for beach weddings. These were only $4.80 per dozen, or $0.40 per guest. Mini maraca key chains would be good for a “South-of-the-Border” theme, and cost only $0.25 each. For a western wedding, cowboy boot key chains were $0.63 each.

6. Sachets can be quickly made for under $1 wedding favors. Sachet bags, ready to fill and tie, will cost about $0.19 each. They are available in many colors. Fill them with bulk rose buds, lavender, or small sized potpourri mix. Add a tag if you wish.
